The Tradition of The Masters
There is nothing quite like the annual iconic golf tradition that is The Masters. Lush green grass, colorful azaleas, and gorgeous dogwoods set the Augusta National Golf Club apart as a stunning backdrop for this time-honored and revered tournament.
Some of our State Traditions team had the chance to experience this long-running sporting event, watching golf greats as they competed for the coveted green jacket.
Take inspiration from some of the masters of the game and play like a pro next time you're on the links. Here's a few tips from previous green jacket winners.
Bubba Watson:
"It's about hitting the ball in the center of the club face and hitting it hard." (Golf Digest)
Adam Scott:
"It's totally a game of confidence...When you're that confident, you have to take it and run with it, because who knows how long it's going to last?" (OrlandoSentinel.com)
Phil Mickelson:
"The object of golf is not just to win. It is to play like a gentleman, and win." (World Golf Hall of Fame)
Here's to a great Masters week!
